DAYS 1 - 5
Taormina
Arrive at a seaside resort, the sound of gentle waves lapping the shoreline as ancient Taormina rises above you. The first day is all your own to soak up the sun on a private beach, relax with a crisp aperitivo, and take a dip in the cool Ionian waters. Then, an enchanting evening awaits as you climb aboard a boat to look upon the sparkling coastline at sunset. On a day of basaltic adventure, trek through the ethereal landscapes of Mount Etna and savor a fabulous lunch with volcanic wines. In Syracuse and Noto, travel back to the Greece of antiquity as you uncover ancient temples, a Greek theater, cobbled streets and Baroque grandeur. Finally, accompanied by an expert chef, peruse a local market for treasures before crafting a full Sicilian feast.
DAYS 6 - 7
Cefalu
The adventure continues by train across the coast, arriving in one of Sicily’s most beautiful towns. Upon arrival, you’ll quickly understand why people never quite want to leave this dazzling place. Take in miles of golden coastline, fishing boats bobbing in the harbor, medieval Norman architecture, and a towering hill overlooking it all. In two relaxing days, you’ll explore these riches to your heart’s content. Whether your toes are in the sand, swimming through the crystal-clear water, or wandering romantic streets, there is no wrong way to see Cefalú. Allow your pace to slow down and remember what rest and restoration truly feel like.
DAYS 8 - 9
Palermo
Sicily’s capital is a journey for the senses. All around you are Baroque balconies, Arab-Norman grandeur, boisterous markets, and an energy unlike anywhere else on the island. The first day in Palermo is for you to enjoy at your leisure, should you like to explore its bustling streets or simply linger in a piazza café. On your final morning, a local guide will introduce you to the city’s most beloved gastronomy. Weaving in and out of artisan markets and traditional restaurants, sample arancini, panelle, cannoli, and more culinary delights. In a proper send-off, you’ll end with a shared drink in a tavern, glasses raised and toasting to this extraordinary adventure.
