DAYS 1 - 3
Paris
In the City of Light, a boutique hotel in Saint-Germain-des-Prés awaits your arrival. Moments from the Seine, you’ll be just steps away from the most desirable corners of Paris. On the first day, feel the magnitude of Notre Dame, standing proudly despite its turbulent past. Wander the Île de la Cité as your guide brings the city’s history vividly to life. Just then, Sainte-Chapelle stops you in your tracks. Before you are fifteen panels of stained glass rising 50 feet in the most spectacular display of light you’ve ever seen. As the sun sets, the romance lives on aboard a double-decker bus with a six-course dinner and dazzling glass roof views. Finally, taste croissants warm from the oven, savory charcuterie, a bounty of cheeses, and plentiful wine in Montmartre, a neighborhood that has seduced artists and wanderers for centuries.
DAYS 4 - 5
Paris
Versailles fills an entire day and earns every minute of it. This gilded palace stretches on and on in a scale that’s difficult to fathom. Just as incredible as the lavish residence are the opulent gardens, a living masterpiece many have tried to recreate. A morning at the Louvre follows, as the light creeps into the galleries of one of the world’s greatest collections. The evening delivers what has been building all week: the Eiffel Tower aglow in the fading light, then a glittering show at nightfall. Spend some relaxing moments cruising down the Seine in a luxury boat and savoring French cuisine. Before disembarking, a champagne toast will be justly due to celebrate this unforgettable journey.
DAYS 6 - 7
Paris
The final days are yours to live the sweet life, or la douceur de vivre, as the Parisians say. Enjoy a morning learning the secrets of France’s most iconic pastry: the croissant. Led by an expert chef, you’ll craft this delicacy layer by flaky layer, then taste your creation straight from the oven. The afternoon opens at Musée de l'Orangerie, where you'll gaze upon Monet’s Water Lilies in their tranquil magnificence. Take the last day to stroll through Champs-Élysées, exploring to your heart’s content and browsing for something special to take home. You may wish to climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to see Paris spread outward as far as the eye can see. With the City of Light shining before you, you’ll already be counting the days until your return.
