Bespoke Travel FAQs

For trips designed from a blank page, not chosen from a list. Here’s what that actually means.

Not booked. Designed.

Bespoke means something specific to us: a trip built entirely from your conversation with a travel designer, not adapted from an existing itinerary. Here’s what people ask before they start.

What Bespoke Means

4 QUESTIONS

What’s the difference between bespoke and a signature itinerary?

A signature itinerary is one of our established, thoroughly designed journeys, refined over years and easy to personalize in the details. Bespoke starts from nothing but a conversation, built entirely around you, your dates, your pace, and the moments you want to feel.

Can our signature itinerary be customized instead of going fully bespoke?

Our signature itineraries are designed as complete, tested journeys, so we don’t offer piecemeal customization of them. If you want something built specifically around you, bespoke is the right path, and we’ll gladly discuss what that looks like.

Who is bespoke travel really for?

Milestone trips, honeymoons, multigenerational celebrations, or simply travelers who know exactly how they want to feel by the end of the trip and want every detail to reflect that.

Does bespoke mean more expensive, or just more personal?

Both, in the sense that a fully custom trip takes more design time and access than a set itinerary. But the value shows up in fit: nothing generic, nothing assumed, no filler days.

The Design Process

5 QUESTIONS

How does a bespoke trip actually start?

With a conversation, not a questionnaire. Your travel designer wants to understand how you like to travel, what past trips you’ve loved, and what would make this one unforgettable, before a single destination is suggested.

Is there a minimum amount of lead time to plan a bespoke trip?

Yes, three months at minimum. That time covers getting to know you and what you want, building your tailor-made itinerary, going back and forth on any changes, booking and reconfirming every detail, and putting together your final documents. We don’t like to compress this process, since rushing it is where the quality can start to slip.

Do we work with one travel designer the whole way through?

Yes. One person designs the trip, refines it with you, and stays your point of contact before, during, and after you travel.

How many rounds of revisions can we expect?

Your itinerary includes one round of revisions, so we recommend looking through your tailor-made itinerary with a fine-tooth comb to make sure you’re happy with everything. Let us know all your questions and any changes at once, and we’ll make them all together to keep things moving without delay.

What if we don’t know exactly what we want yet?

That’s the normal starting point. Most bespoke trips begin with a feeling rather than a fixed idea, restoration, celebration, discovery, and the itinerary is built to deliver that feeling.

Pricing & What’s Included

4 QUESTIONS

What does bespoke travel with WAC start at?

Fully bespoke trips start at $20,000 per group and scale from there depending on destination, length, and the level of access involved. Every bespoke journey is quoted individually.

What’s included in the trip itself?

All transportation from beginning to end, private drivers, ferries, trains, and boats among them, along with luxury hotel accommodations, breakfasts, and the tours and experiences built into your itinerary.

What’s included in that investment beyond the trip itself?

The design time itself, direct access to private guides and authentic experiences, one thorough round of revisions to fine-tune your itinerary, and a single designer orchestrating every detail so nothing falls through the cracks. Anticipatory service, not just logistics.

Is there a minimum trip length for bespoke design?

Yes, a minimum of 7 hotel nights.
